This Is Not an App. It's an Academy.

Story-Driven
Built on Senzeni Dladla’s original book series.
Every lesson ties directly to the book your child read.
What Makes This Different
Not Videos. An Education.
Most online learning platforms dump content and hope for engagement. Cool Bosses Academy is built the opposite way — story first, concept second, action third. Every lesson your child completes is tied to something they read in the book and something they do in the real world.
Generic course platform
Video, quiz, next video. No story, no context, no connection to real life.
Passive watching
Learner sits back. No challenge. No evidence of growth.
No community
Learner is alone. No peers, no recognition, no motivation to return.
Story-driven lessons
Every concept taught through Jojo, Odella, and Lenzy's real situations in Zobacz Township.
The Boss Lab
Every module ends with a practical real-world challenge your child actually does.
XP, badges & certificates
Visible progress your child earns and keeps. Parents can see it too.
The Curriculum
Four Pillars. One Powerful Boss.
Every Cool Boss masters four areas that school ignores. Each pillar is anchored to a story-driven book and a full practical course.
Financial Literacy
Understanding money before money becomes a problem. Saving, investing, and starting a business with what you already have.
Money · Wealth · Business
Leadership
Leading yourself before you lead others. Owning your decisions, developing your voice, and building the discipline of a real boss.
Self · Confidence · Direction
Ubuntu
Community is your greatest asset. Empathy in business, collaborative problem-solving, and building with others toward shared success.
Community · Empathy · Together
Common Sense
The practical intelligence school never teaches. Critical thinking, real decisions, and the street-smart problem solving every boss needs.
Thinking · Decisions · Life

Course Content
What's Inside the Academy
Each book becomes a course. Each course has two tracks — Junior (11–15) and Senior (16–18). Same story, different depth.
Business Mindset — The Cool Boss Way (🟢 Book 1 — Live Now)
5 Modules · 20 Lessons
Follow Jojo, Lenzy, and Odella through Vezi Township as they discover entrepreneurship not as a theory but as a survival skill. Five chapters. Five modules. Real problems. Real solutions. Real lessons your child will actually remember because they lived them alongside the characters.
Module 1 — What Is a Business?
Jojo spots a community problem and turns it into his first business. Concepts: problem-solving, failure, the free sample strategy.
Module 2 — Digital Business
Odella builds a podcast, becomes an influencer, opens an online store. Concepts: digital business, marketing basics, resilience.
Module 3 — Partnerships & Conflict
Jojo and Odella's collaboration breaks down. Concepts: business vs friendship, evaluating a partnership, objective thinking.
Module 4 — Social Enterprise
Lenzy wants to help without profit. Concepts: NPOs, sponsorship, why giving back is part of a business mindset.
Module 5 — The Great Debate
Why doesn't everyone just start a business? Supply and demand, diverse perspectives, and what entrepreneurship skills give everyone — not just entrepreneurs.
Module 1 — Business Model Analysis
Same Jojo story — seniors calculate his break-even, analyse his loss-leader strategy, and build a business model canvas.
Module 2 — Digital Marketing Strategy
Odella's digital failures analysed through content strategy. Seniors build a 4-week content plan for a chosen digital business.
Module 3 — Partnership Agreements
Seniors write a one-page partnership agreement. Clauses that would have prevented the Jojo-Odella split.
Module 4 — NPOs in South Africa
NPO vs NGO vs NPC vs Social Enterprise. Seniors design a formal funding proposal for a community project.
Module 5 — Research & Argument
Interview 3 real people. Write a 2-page essay: "Should every South African young person learn entrepreneurship?" Evidence-based argument.
⚡ Complete all 5 modules → earn your Business Mindset Certificate + Cool Boss Badge + 450 XP total

The Boss Lab
Learning That Leaves the Screen
Every module ends with a Boss Lab Challenge — a real-world task your child completes outside the academy. Not a worksheet. Not another quiz. Something they actually do.
Boss Lab submissions are reviewed. Completed challenges earn badges and XP that show up on their learner profile — visible to them and to you as a parent.
Module 1 — The Community Walk
Learner walks their neighbourhood, identifies 5 real problems, and chooses one to write a solution for. Just like Jojo did in Chapter 1.
Module 2 — Digital Business Pitch
Brainstorm 3 digital business ideas. Evaluate them. Write a 5-sentence pitch for the best one. Inspired by Odella's 6 ideas brainstorm.
Module 3 — The Partnership Check
Answer 5 partnership evaluation questions about someone they want to work with. Write a paragraph: is this a good collaboration or not?
Final Boss Lab — The Report
A full one-page business mindset report tying together everything they learned. This is what earns the Business Mindset Certificate.

Built for SA
South African context throughout. The characters, the problems, the currency, the examples — all local.
Each lesson is 5 to 8 minutes. A full module has 4 lessons plus one Boss Lab challenge. We recommend 2 to 3 sessions per week — roughly 20 to 30 minutes each. The Boss Lab challenge is done in real life and can take 30 to 90 minutes depending on the task. There is no pressure to rush — content drip releases weekly.
The books are the foundation and we strongly recommend starting with the book. Every lesson in the academy references specific scenes, characters, and quotes from the book — so having read it makes the learning richer and more connected. You can buy the book and subscribe together, or get the book first and subscribe when ready.
Both tracks use the same book, the same characters, and the same story. What changes is the depth. The Junior track (11–15) stays close to the book’s language, uses relatable scenarios, and asks learners to identify and describe. The Senior track (16–18) adds analytical layers — business model analysis, partnership agreements, market research, and structured written arguments.
Each completed course earns a digital certificate that your child can download, print, and share. It certifies that they completed a structured entrepreneurship programme — not just watched videos. The certificate includes the learner’s name, the course name, and Senzeni Dladla’s name as Academy Founder. It is a real credential they can add to any profile or application.
Yes — we offer school licensing for classrooms and after-school programmes. Institutional pricing starts from R35,000 per term for up to 30 learners. Contact us directly for a tailored package.
